Sunday School Classes. Two classes meet
each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. with subjects selected by the
members of the class.
Wednesday morning Bible class. This
class, led by Deacon Connie Tyndall meets in the library from 10:30
to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesdays in the Fall through the Epiphany
season. A series of classes are offered from September through
November on Wednesday evenings and during the Epiphany season. The
schedule includes a service of worship, supper and class. The
subject has traditionally been determined by the Rector.
Lenten Study. On Friday evenings during
Lent there are classes of special interest, a soup supper and
worship.
Catechumenate. The program called New
Wine and Old Wine Skins is designed specifically for those who are
not baptized. It is also helpful for anyone who is an Episcopalian
or someone who is a baptized person of another denomination.

Confirmation Preparation. Preparation
for Confirmation is through the Catechumenate but one class of
preparation is always held immediately prior to the visit of the
bishop.
Alpha Course. This 10 week practical
introduction to the Christian faith is offered from time to time.

Inquirers Class. This class gives
helpful information about the Episcopal Church, its history, polity,
worship and doctrine. It is especially helpful for those who have
recently become members of St. James’, for those who are considering
membership at St. James’ and for those who are preparing for
Confirmation. Contact the Rector.
Membership Class. This class meets
twice a year for those interested in becoming more familiar with
St. James’ Church and the various opportunities for ministry.
